Professor Di Wang is currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and an affiliated faculty of Statistics in the Division of Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering (CEMSE) at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), starting in Spring 2021. He is also the PI of Provable Responsible AI and Data Analytics (PRADA) Lab, a member of Computational Bioscience Research Center (CBRC), and an affiliated faculty with the SDAIA-KAUST Center of Excellence in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA-KAUST AI).
Before that, he got his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo in 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Jinhui Xu. Before his Ph.D. study, he took his Master's degree in Mathematics at the University of Western Ontario in 2015, and he received his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at Shandong University in 2014.
His interested research areas include trustworthy machine learning, machine learning theory, and AI for Science.
